3 Day Tarangire , Ngorongoro Crater and Lake Manyara NP

Itinerary Highlights

On this journey, we will visit Tanzania’s three most popular destinations: Lake Manyara National Park (1 night), Ngorongoro Crater (1 night), and Tarangire National Park. This excursion allows you to explore the plains of the Ngorongoro Crater and view the Big Five animals. Arusha serves as the tour’s starting and finishing point. It will be a once-in-a-lifetime adventure with our expert driving guides!

ITINERARY DESCRIPTION BY DAY

Day 1 : Arusha to Tarangire National Park

Our driver will pick you up from Arusha in the morning. Drive for around 2 hours and a half to Tarangire National Park, which is well-known for its high elephant population in relation to its size and the baobab tree, the world’s oldest living tree. Begin the game drive with a picnic lunch in the park, then continue till the evening. During the dry season, Tarangire comes alive as wildlife and birds concentrate on the Tarangire River, the park’s constant source of water. Dinner and stay at the Nsya Lodge.

Day 2 : Tarangire National Park to Ngorongoro Crater.

After breakfast in the morning at Nsya Lodge we drive for 40minutes to Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Ngorongoro is a special place in that it is a Conservation Area, not a National Park; this means it is the multiple land use which are shared between wildlife and domestic life. During the drive in Ngorongoro we have a chance to glimpse something of the Masai way of life. Where by at the entrance gate, there is a chance to learn more about this fascinating volcanic landscape, we will continue to drive around the rim of the Crater itself to reach the viewpoint, and from here we can look down and see the herd of wildebeest or buffalos. Finally we descend 600m of altitude from the rim. The crater walls provide a natural sanctuary for the animals, which means there is plenty to see include Rhino which is one of the endangered species, lions, elephants, buffalo and and leopard (if you are lucky). In the evening we make a short journey from the crater to Nsya lodge.

Day 3 :Lake Manyara National Park to Arusha

After breakfast, and lunch box from the hotel we drive toward Lake Manyara National Park for game drive until afternoon where we have the lunch in one of the picnic site in the park. After lunch we will continue with game drive until late afternoon along the lakeshore. Three quarter of this national park is covered with water that means there is possibility to see dozens of water bird species, Tree climbing lions, elephants, giraffes, wildebeest, zebra, antelopes, vultures, hyenas and so on. Late afternoon we will drive back to Arusha.
