ITINERARY DESCRIPTION BY DAY
Day 1 : Arrive In Tanzania.
You will be picked up by a member of the summit planet expedition staff at the Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO). You will then be driven to your accommodation, which is a lovely and ideal spot to get ready for your seven-day safari to see the Western Route Wildebeest Migration.
For a pre-safari briefing, we will congregate in the hotel.
Day 2 : Tarangire National Park.
For the first day of our 7-day Serengeti Western Corridor Wildebeest Migration trips, we go to Tarangire National Park, which offers fantastic wildlife watching. Tarangire is a tiny park with some wonderful scenery. Tarangire typically comes to life during the dry seasons as wildlife and birdlife gather on the Tarangire River, a permanent supply of water. We spend the night in our lodge, which is exquisitely situated inside the park and offers breathtaking views and a distinctive ambience. We travel from the park to our hotel in Karatu in the late afternoon.
Day 3 : Serengeti National Park – Central Serengeti
After breakfast, we’ll travel to the Serengeti National Park, where limitless plains sweep into the horizon as far as the eye can see. Leaving the highlands behind, we’ll descend into the heart of untamed Africa. We travel to the Seronera area, one of the park’s finest wildlife areas, which is home to the Seronera River, an important water supply that draws wildlife that is generally representative of the Serengeti’s species. Before arriving at our Special Tented Camp, we take a game drive.
Day 4 : Serengeti – Werstern Corridor
After breakfast, we travel to the Serengeti National Park’s Western Corridor, which is located in its westernmost region. While traveling from the Seronera area to the Western Corridor area, we will take a game drive. Depending on rainfall conditions, the wildebeest migration can typically be seen in the Western Corridor area at the end of April, May, and June. Moreover, the Serengeti western safari’s stunning panorama that never ends beneath an endless sky.
Day 5 : Serengeti Western Corridor – Ngorongoro Area
Enjoy a half-day game drive in the Western Corridor after breakfast. The Grumeti and Mbalageti Rivers, which run nearly parallel to one another and each support a swath of evergreen forests, are the main features of the Western Corridor. All of the predators, including zebra, wildebeest, and birds, have a year-round home in the waterways. The Grumeti River is also home to sizable hippos pods and enormous crocodiles. The wildebeest typically congregate around waterholes in the middle of the morning in such dense groups that they resemble ants congregating around a nest.
Later afternoon drive back to Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
Day 6 : Ngorongoro Crater Tour
By traveling around the crater rim in the early morning, we make our way to the epic safari’s final stop, the Ngorongoro crater. Finally, we make our way down the 600-foot-high Ngorongoro Crater walls to the crater’s floor for a full day of game drives. There are several creatures to witness, including lions, elephants, buffalo, rhinoceroses, and leopards, because the crater walls act as a natural sanctuary for the wildlife (if you are lucky). The only animal you won’t see in this area is a giraffe, whose huge legs can’t handle the crater’s steep walls. We do yet another fantastic safari before returning to Arusha.
Day 7 : Arusha – Departure
You will be transported to the airport in preparation for your return trip home, a leisurely excursion to Zanzibar Beach, or a safari, depending on your flight’s departure time and location.
