The Spice Farm
Spice Farm Tour: This is a tour to a village farm where we can see, taste, and smell all of nature’s wonders. You will be asked to guess which spice or fruit grew from each tree and bush while wearing palm leaf jewelry and eating a sumptuous fruit meal.
It is the island’s connection to spices and herbs, with cloves, nutmeg, cinnamon, pepper, and many other spices that are essential ingredients in a Zanzibari’s daily life. Zanzibar and Spice has a romantic history dating back to the 16th century.
Apart from being an important commodity on trade routes, they can be seen in the plantations just outside Zanzibar town. This is also a fantastic opportunity to see the countryside and rural areas of Zanzibar, connect with local people, and buy fresh spices directly from the source.
Trip To Prison Island By Boat
The Prison Island: The island of prisoners is also known as a turtle island because land turtles weighing about 100 kilograms and living for 150 years arrived from the Seychelles. There appears to be a large number of giant deer, which can also be fed.
After earning its name as a former slave prison and quarantine station for Zanzibar and the mainland, the island now offers the opportunity to escape for some peace and quiet.
The island is located just off the Old Stone Town and is home to giant land tortoises that were imported from Seychelles in the late 1800s. It is now better known as the home of Zanzibar’s Giant Aldabran Tortoise colony, some of which are over a century old! The Seychelles government gave this endangered species to Zanzibar as a gift.
When you arrive on the island, you can feed and pet the tortoises; if you have time, you can also take a stroll through the forested interior, where you will see a variety of birds, colorful peacocks, bats, and beautiful butterflies. Keep an eye out for the shy and elusive Duikers, an unusual small antelope species.
Tour Of The Jozani Forest
Josani Park: This is the only nature reserve in Zanzibar with beautiful mahogany trees and a very impressive tropical forest, where the colossus is grown exclusively in Zanzibar. We will eventually arrive at a mangrove forest. There are three types of this tree in this forest, all of which make for a spectacular sight.
In this unique ecosystem, we will also be able to see a variety of crabs. A government-certified instructor leads the tour.
This forest is one of the last remaining red colubus monkey sanctuaries in the world. The forest, which covers 2,512 hectares (6,207 acres), was designated as a nature reserve in the 1960s.
The pathways provide excellent photo opportunities and sightings of these rare creatures that live in the forest reserves. Our naturalist guides will ensure that nature lovers have a fantastic time in the nature reserve.
They were an endangered species, but numbers have increased in recent years as a result of conservation efforts by the nature reserve in collaboration with the local people. It is estimated that there are now between 2,000 and 2,500 monkeys. The monkeys are wild, but it is possible to get close to them, and they go about their daily activities as if human visitors do not exist.
Jozani has an excellent nature trail, and the guides are well-trained and informative. A walk through this impressive flora and fauna is one of the highlights of Zanzibar.
At Jozani, you will also visit the Mangrove swamp and walk through the Mangrove Forest.
Snorkeling In Tumbatu And Mnemba Island.
Don’t miss out on one of East Africa’s top dives. For divers and snorkelers, we may plan daily excursions to the renowned Mnemba Atoll Marine Park. The warm, clean seas of Mnemba Atoll are well-known.
Though not assured, interactions with dolphins and green turtles are fairly common.
The Full Moon Party, held on Saturdays soon before or following a full moon, is another popular event at Kendwa Beach. The celebrations on Zanzibar draw quite a huge crowd, even if they are not as extravagant or large-scale as those held in Thailand. This is especially true when the full moon falls on a holiday in Europe or North America (eg Easter and Christmas).
Kitesurfing
Surfing. The Southeast Coast has a variety of surf spots for surfers of all skill levels. The island offers guaranteed uncrowded surf in crystal clear warm waters with a consistent waist high wave for beginners and shoulder to head high wave for advanced surfers. The reefs are flat and beginner-friendly in some areas, but can be gnarly with sea urchins if you don’t know where to look.
Paje Beach’s crystalline lagoon waters and reef protection make kitesurfing a popular sport for both advanced and beginner kitesurfers. The lagoon may be very full at full moon, and conditions may be suboptimal. Deep sea fishing with “Hooked on Fishing” in Nungwi, on the North Coast.
