Welcome to Tanzania! Thank you for choosing Summit Planet Expeditions. Mount Meru, the second-highest mountain in Tanzania, is about 20 km east of Arusha town, inside Arusha National Park. The mountain is 4,566 meters tall. It has one trail to the top, which usually takes 3 days to climb, but 4 days is better to help your body adjust. Many climbers use Mount Meru to get ready for climbing Mount Kilimanjaro.
