Tour Overview
The 5-Day Tarangire, Serengeti, Ngorongoro, and Lake Manyara Safari is an action-packed wildlife experience that takes you through Tanzania’s most iconic national parks. You will explore Tarangire, famous for its elephants and baobab trees, the vast Serengeti with its incredible wildlife and migration herds, the Ngorongoro Crater known for its dense Big Five population, and Lake Manyara, home to flamingos, tree-climbing lions, and diverse birdlife. This midrange safari includes lodge and tented camp accommodations, offering comfort and adventure throughout your journey.
Itinerary
You will be picked up from your hotel in Arusha after breakfast and driven to Tarangire National Park with a packed lunch for a full-day game drive. Tarangire is known for its towering baobab trees and large elephant herds. The Tarangire River attracts numerous animals including lions, leopards, cheetahs, kudus, buffalo, oryx, giraffes, zebras, and wildebeests. After the game drive you will return to your lodge for dinner and relaxation.
After breakfast you will begin your journey toward Serengeti National Park, driving through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area where you may spot wildlife along the way. Arrive in the Serengeti in the late afternoon and enjoy an evening game drive. The Serengeti is famous for its wildebeest migration and abundant wildlife including buffalo, elephants, giraffes, gazelles, lions, and leopards. Dinner and overnight at the central Serengeti camp.
Start your day early with a sunrise game drive in the Serengeti. Continue exploring the vast plains, home to the Big Five, numerous bird species, kopjes, giraffes, hippos, crocodiles, antelopes, zebras, and more. Return to the camp for lunch and later continue with an evening game drive. Overnight at your Serengeti camp.
After breakfast, take your lunch boxes and begin an en-route game drive toward Ngorongoro. Arrive at the crater by midday for a game drive lasting up to five hours. You will see wildlife such as rhinos, buffalos, zebras, wildebeests, eland, hippos, and more. Enjoy a picnic lunch inside the crater before continuing your game drive. In the late afternoon drive back to Karatu for overnight.
With a lunch box from your hotel, drive to Lake Manyara National Park and begin your game drive after registration. Lake Manyara is known for colobus monkeys, blue monkeys, baboons, elephant herds, tree-climbing lions, buffalo, zebras, wildebeests, hippos, and diverse waterbirds. Lunch will be enjoyed at a picnic site. In the late afternoon drive back to Arusha, where the tour ends.
