Itinerary
Your safari begins with a morning pickup from your hotel or Kilimanjaro Airport. With packed lunch boxes, you’ll drive approximately 2.5 hours to Tarangire National Park. Upon arrival, enjoy mid-morning game drives through this stunning landscape dominated by baobab trees and the life-giving Tarangire River.
Expect to spot large herds of elephants, wildebeests, zebras, elands, kudu, giraffes, gazelles, impalas, waterbucks, and—if lucky—leopards or rhinos. After a picnic lunch, continue with afternoon game drives until evening, before driving to your lodge in Karatu for relaxation and overnight stay.
After breakfast, descend into the world-famous Ngorongoro Crater for a full day of unforgettable wildlife viewing. The crater hosts about 30,000 animals, including elephants, buffalos, wildebeests, zebras, warthogs, hippos, elands, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs, and the rare black rhino.
Enjoy a picnic lunch inside the crater with outstanding views of the wildlife and crater walls. In the late afternoon, ascend back to the rim and return to your Karatu accommodation for dinner and overnight.
At 7:30 AM, depart from your hotel with packed lunches for a short 10-minute drive to Lake Manyara National Park. After park formalities, begin your game drive through its breathtaking habitats—groundwater forests, open plains, and the shimmering soda lake.
Spot pink flamingos, large elephant families, countless bird species, and the iconic tree-climbing lions. Enjoy a picnic lunch inside the park before continuing with afternoon game drives until 4 PM. After an exciting day, drive back to Arusha for drop-off.
